itel Mobile is a Chinese mobile phone manufacturer company that was founded by Transsion Holdings Co Limited in March 2008.[1][2]

Their products are mainly sold in various emerging markets, including parts of Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe and Latin America.[3][4][5]

Since April 19, 2024, Itel has collaborated with CloudMosa to introduce a new 4G feature phone Super Guru 4G[6] in India with various cloud-based widgets for feature phones using the Cloud Phone technology.[7] This partnership marks the first time that Itel 4G feature phones are capable of accessing cloud-based real-time modern web applications like YouTube, Shorts, and a couple of other widgets.

Controversies[edit]

In July 7, 2024, Itel Philippines released a promo sale named "Piso Deal" selling an Itel A50 mobile phone for only 1 Philippine Peso on their livestream in their Tiktok Shop. This deal was supposed to be only grabbed by a single person but due to marketing mistake, Itel Philippines accidentally made the stocks for the said mobile phone 6,500 units. Their advertiser, Unbox Diaries apologized hours later the said sale that the product was intended for a single person only and was asking for the buyers of the 1 Philippine Peso Itel A50 mobile phone to cancel their orders, this video was later criticized for having some of the people on his back trying to hide their laughs and that Itel Philippines can simply just cancel the orders themselves.[8] Itel Philippines later released an apology on the incident.[9] After this incident, a lot of speculations and opinions has spread over the internet.
