Someone can hopefully improve the writing. I worry that many hear machine learning bias and think the opposite. In fact the solution to algorithmic bias would be to insert ml bias into the model (fairness predicates). So there is a lot of confusion. Tag: Reverted

This could include historical years when significant changes were made to tax structure and the like. There is a dearth of information on changes and problems with UK taxation. Link to the stub on the current failure of HMRC to address the error in their online calculator. Tag: Reverted

  • 09:1509:15, 12 July 2022 diff hist +66 List of countries by tax ratesThe UK top marginal tax rate was wrong. It is quite confusing to calculate because HMRC presents the information in a deliberately tricky way to hide the fact that the marginal tax rate is higher in the middle. Also please note that the online HMRC calculator is currently wrong and they have been informed about it. It does not take away the zero room. I have confirmed with an HMRC employee that the room still applies and that the calculator is wrong yet they still have not fixed it.

In reality there are similar technques in other applied disciplines.
