Disagree That This Article Has Neutral Point Of View

[edit]

Yes, manufacturers seem to quote small room sizes. Yes, the calculations shown in this article "prove" that the manufacturers are underscoping the room sizes.

However.

A couple of points:

1) Claiming that manufacturers are doing so for nefarious reasons (speculated in the article), not backed up by evidence, is hardly neutral, and:

2) We have for many years happily played with normal-size cues on a regulation 4.5 x 9 Gandy tournament-grade table in our house, in a room that is only 14.5' wide. According to the article, that should be impossible, because, the article claims, it requires a room two feet wider. This is hardly a minor discrepancy.

We are not in any way affiliated with pool table manufacturers, distributors, retailers, installers, etc. We work in the software industry. We like to play pool, and have a table in our house. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.14.154.3 (talk) 03:27, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
