Blind/ Disability Culture

[edit]

I was interested in blind sport on watching the paralympics ad found this article. However it seems to only link to cricket-base Wikipedia articles a opposed to any blind/ disability culture or sport bases. Is there a call for any of these? Blind football is popular and is mentioned on a page Paralympic association football, but I wonder whether a separate section on blind/disability sport (with history etc) would be interesting.Mofs (talk) 17:37, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Great idea. I have added it to Wikipedia:Meetup/Sydney/November 2012. Someone who is blind is primarily interested in the sporting movement for their own condition - they will read that article in depth, but have far less interest in an article about the sporting movement for deaf. --John Vandenberg (chat) 03:56, 1 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
