Book of the Year

[edit]

Rather than double listing, the "Book of the Year" selected from three category winners may simply be highlighted, perhaps by boldface listing. Eh? --P64 (talk) 20:25, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Importance

[edit]

How important is this award? how prestigious?

FYI here are some current importance ratings for WP:Children's literature.

No one has bothered to update the winners since 2007, but there are shortlists here for 2008, 2010, 2011. --P64 (talk) 20:25, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Guardian coverage of the 2012 Carnegie shortlist calls Carnegie "the UK's most prestigious award for children's literature, the Carnegie medal" ("Carnegie shortlist includes Andy Mulligan's controversial Trash: Children's librarians choose novel vetoed by Blue Peter to join seven other 'exceptional' titles for the children's book award". Alison Flood. guardian.co.uk, Tuesday 27 March 2012.) --P64 (talk) 16:58, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Award categories have changed

[edit]

We say that "award categories have changed in name but not in number", which is evidently out of date. What happened to the categories, when? --P64 (talk) 18:13, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
