Car dealer lot

[edit]

What is a car dealer lot ?. Can one include this information in the article (I think a showroom or a garage can be parts of the car dealer lot). --193.145.201.52 13:26, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Typically, vehicles on the "dealer's lot" represents inventory that they have purchased. This would include all the unsold inventory on the dealer's premises. Larger dealers may have additional offsite storage that would also be considered the "dealer's lot" Mstefaniak (talk) 16:53, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Multimarque

[edit]

I am going to write some lines about multimarque leaderships. If you want, you can collaborate and write also. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 193.145.201.52 (talk) 06:37, 16 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Education Requirements

[edit]

Currently the article Automotive Dealership Institute is an orphan and i'm trying to remedy this by discussing the education requirement for auto dealerships. I have citations that i'm using from new sources and avoiding web sources. If other writers have ideas please comment. Is this the best place to talk about the education requirements for auto dealerships? Should it be in a different article? Should it have it own article separate from this?

Whatever you do, using this article to promote one or two minor schools is undue and inappropriate. The second source didn't even mention ADI, and was an incredibly minor puff-piece about a single dealerships training program. Grayfell (talk) 20:58, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Car dealership. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

“History of” Section

[edit]

I don’t feel that the “History of” section is cohesive at all. It starts off with a couple of sentences about the history, but then just becomes a collection of random facts about cars. Some of these facts are repeated, even.

I don’t know enough to be part of the solution, though. Jeremiah042 (talk) 02:04, 31 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dealerships around the world

[edit]

I'm disappointed to find only what I already knew on this page about the US market. I was wondering if the dealership model is used around the world, and what the differences are. Still don't know.
