[edit]This is really a sorry page. Almost all of the information is taken from "Rocket Boys", which is a memoir about Hickams life only, and not intended to be a completely factual representation of Coalwood. AMStecker 02:48, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
I just watched the movie October Sky, which made me gain some interest in the story about the Rocket Boys and Coalwood. At the end of the film it said that Homer Sr. died in 1976 and that his wife retired to Myrtle Beach in 79... This article says that Homer Sr. died in 83... So, the film could be wrong, but I am pretty sure its the article. I would not recommend anyone to use this article as a reference because it is most likely incorrect.
I agree that most of this info was taken from Rocket Boys. I know it's hard to find out any info about tiny little towns like this, but at least try. --Wikimaniac3651 (talk) 01:42, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
