'Turboprop reluctance factor'

[edit]

I removed this section:

U.S mainline airlines such as Continental Airlines[1] tend to paint their regional partners who fly turboprop aircraft with a slightly different branding, so as to distance themselves from the traveling public's safety perceptions of propeller powered aircraft.

Thus far, Continental Airlines Inc. and Pinnacle Airlines Corporation, parent company of Pinnacle Airlines who will be running these aircraft in association with Colgan Airlines for the mainline brand, has not expressed a lack of confidence in their decision to operate the Bombardier Q400 as Scandinavian airline carrier SAS has with their recent grounding of the type due to on going landing gear collapses. [2]

The first sentence is flatly incorrect; the second is weasel wordsmithing to imply that Continental Connection disregards safety by partnering with Q400 operators.-choster (talk) 08:38, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Continental Airlines Flight 3407

[edit]

This article should list incidents and accidents on flights that were flown under the Continental Connection banner. 76.66.196.229 (talk) 06:46, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
