Imagery

[edit]

I've just emailed Brian Wood, asking permission to use either the cover or the first page of issue #1 in this article. — OwenBlacker 03:32, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The cover as it is should be OK I think. It clearly falls under the deffinition of fair use. My preference is to stick with issue #3's cover as its the only one so far to depict an image of the Matthew Roth. Getting permission to use the map on the first page of issue #1 sounds like a really good idea. (Stephen Day 03:47, 5 March 2006 (UTC))[reply]
Yeah, the map is what I was kinda hoping to get :o) — OwenBlacker 04:02, 5 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article name and disambiguation

[edit]

I opened Wikipedia and typed in "DMZ (comics)" and got taken to the general DMZ page which I think is the wrong redirect so I changed it. I realise that DMZ is also the name of a minor character from DC's Blood Syndicate comics but the significant vast majority of people who type in "DMZ (comics)" will be looking for this article, I think. For those who aren't, a small note at the start of the article should be sufficient for those who want the Blood Syndicate character. It's silly to make everyone search for the article they are looking for so the redirect should take them to the most likely result of their search. Also, the name of this article is tecnically wrong. This comic is published by Vertigo comics therefore the title should be "DMZ (Vertigo comics)". --217.43.86.210 01:00, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Matty

[edit]

Is there ever an explanation given for why Matty always has a bandage on his nose? 24.218.218.9 02:51, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]

The page should be titled DMZ (comic book) since it's a more fitting name. A precedent would be Batman (comic book). Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 17:43, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually Batman (comic book) is one of the exceptions to WP:NCC, as Batman (comics) could refer to either Batman or the eponymous title. It shouldn't be used as a precedent, the vast majority that follow WP:NCC should be - meaning this should be at DMZ (comics). (Emperor (talk) 02:02, 29 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]
