Bibliography

[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. Feel free to continue. Sunwin1960 (talk) 11:15, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

NSW HSC exam

[edit]

Please add that van Nerveen's poem, "Mangoes", was used as part of the NSW HSC English examinations this year, and that she experienced racist abuse on social media following the examination.[1]

Thank you. --122.108.141.214 (talk) 23:03, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: Where would you like this to be added? SparklingPessimist Scream at me! 00:45, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@SparklingPessimist:, I'm not absolutely sure, because the article is so short - having your poem chosen to be part of the HSC would be an honour in itself, but the students' backlash to it is what's the point of the article. The top section wouldn't really be an appropriate section either. Maybe shorten it just to the ""Mangoes" used as part of the 2017 NSW HSC English examination" part and put it in the honours section? --122.108.141.214 (talk) 02:38, 17 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Done I've taken the liberty to make the shortened change, as requested, with the bald fact that the poem was used in the HSC exam - which is indeed an honour I believe (and which volume it was first published in), and the footnote provided, but not mentioning the controversy. here's the diff.
