No speedy deletion

[edit]

This article describes a fiber-based architecture that is relatively new to the industry. It is covered under the standards mentioned. FTTE is a vendor neutral architecture; no particular company or group will benefit from publishing an article on this topic. This is a network topology. --Lizgo 18:10, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I support Lizgo here, and vote for don't delete. Reason: I can't see any advertisements or vendor-specific information at all in this article. I'm no expert in the matter, but this sounds like the in-house analogon to Fiber to the Curb, which is in the process of becoming widely deployed in some countries (Germany for example). I agree thar this article needs some fleshing-out, but it its not a case for deletition, and most certainly not for speedy deletition. Mark it as a stub and take it into quality assurance if you like. That's all that is needed here. --Funkysapien 20:07, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Addendum: I've just seen that the speedy deletition request was added by an anonymous IP only 3 minutes after it was created. That can not be. I can understand that Lizgo is now not exactly motivated to continue writing any more. Funkysapien 21:15, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
