Introduction - sounds like self promotion

[edit]

Regarding the passege:

" According to material scientist Patrick Richard, "Granular materials are ubiquitous in nature and are the second-most manipulated material in industry (the first one is water)". "

This is a sentence that many researchers use without citing a source. The same sentence can be found in an article of Pierre Gilles de Gennes “Granular matter: a tentative view”. In: Reviews of modern physics 71.2 (1999).

1 - The article of de Gennes was published 6 years before the article of Dr Richard, which is currently used as a source for this information.

2- Furthermore, de Gennes is by far more recognized as a more successful author and influential thinker.

I think this should be changed. 193.54.81.1 (talk) 12:15, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
