NPOV dispute

[edit]

To my (admittedly non-Chinese) ears, this article reads like a government press-release: it talks solely about the rescue efforts and the intrepid local party officials. Surely, a fire that killed 300 people should have some commentary beyond praise for the government. How did the fire start? What went wrong which allowed so many people to die? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.6.184.24 (talk) 03:52, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A good way to improve it is to look for sources from other outlets. PRC sources should be used, but so should sources from CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera, the Yomiuri, etc. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:48, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I don't see how all of the other fires listed under "See also" relate to this fire, other than in that they all concern fire. Also, it appears that on those pages "See also" links have been created linking back to this page. What is the policy for inclusion in a "See also" section? I would venture to say that some of those links should be removed. For example, I linked to this page from the article about the The Station nightclub fire which as far as I can tell is utterly unrelated to this article.
