Imaginary map

[edit]

Please refrain from including imaginary maps of the State of Buenos Aires. A real map, if one could be drawn, would rest on reliable sources. Since not even article 2 of the Constitution of the State of Buenos Aires defined its territory, except very vaguely, and since the Argentine Confederation did not recognise it, this is probably impossible. But it should not be invented. This is an encyclopaedia. Ttocserp 11:03, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Unfortunately, most maps on wikipedia are creations of editors with a certain skill, enthusiasm - and imagination. They are obvious primary sources but they are not often removed. That map you took out also was also anachronistic, using the contemporary border between Chile and Argentina, long before the border existed, as well as showing the Falklands as Argentinian.
