Committee chair?

[edit]

I've removed the statement that Wiesel is Chair of the National Academies' Committee on Human Rights. According to that Committee's Web site, the current Chair is in fact Sidney Verba: [1] Maybe Wiesel was Chair at some time in the past, but under BLP it seems we'd need a reference for that in order to include it. 216.59.227.31 (talk) 03:34, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • That does not seem to be a reason for removal - simply because there is no reference included with a seemingly non-controversial statement; regardless of whether they are a living-person. You would simply attach a [citation needed] = citation needed template. As such I am reversing the change and adding a citation needed request. However, aside from that content, the rest of the article looks almost to be a list of awards, honorary or otherwise, not particularly a biography of a person. Does anyone know the code for that template? If you do please add it... Stevenmitchell (talk) 10:29, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
