I'm an anthropologist, writer, educator, and researcher living in Nashville and work for Vanderbilt University. I serve on the board of the Wiki Education Foundation.

I'm particularly interested in representing indigenous peoples and diaspora peoples in Wikipedia, in coverage of creative social movements, and in deepening coverage to look at global conditions related to cities, languages, and everyday life.

I have taught three courses that are part of the Wikipedia Education Program, including most recently: Wikipedia:Wiki_Ed/Vanderbilt_University/Human_Rights_of_Indigenous_Peoples_(Spring_2017).

I am involved with two incipient Wikimedia user groups: Tennessee Wikimedians and Wikipedia & Education.

You've just done a very good deed with your rigorous edit of the Sondra Peterson article. Which translates into a very good deed with regard to the Filipacchi/sexism scandal. Bravo! (And be prepared for someone to accuse you of being my sock puppet.) NaymanNoland (talk) 04:50, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
