From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I like the collaborative and open-access nature of Wikipedia. I can learn at my own pace and contribute to Wikipedia articles to consolidate that knowledge and make it available to others.

My Wikipedia interests are currently in the area of physics, specifically astrophysics and astronomy. My educational background is in mathematics.

I have Repetitive Strain Injury so I have to work slowly and take rests to recover.

Contributions

[edit]

After making some minor edits, I graduated to correcting errors and adding reliable sources (for example R136). I've contributed substantially to Carbon burning process, Standard solar model and Helioseismology which I hope has improved the quality of these articles. Also added to Stellar structure and Coronal seismology.

Currently working on adding references and explanation to Dark Matter (a large and fascinating article which links to a great number of astronomy articles) and related articles like Dwarf Galaxy.

[edit]
  • ADSABS abstracts, ref info, often whole articles

Caveat: not all entries have abstracts or free-to-read articles. Where possible I add inline refs using adsabs with free-to-read refs.

  • arXiv free-to-read articles

I add arXiv links to refs that don't have free-to-read articles when applicable.
