Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Market analysis, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

A tag has been placed on Lyle zapato requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Burpelson AFB (talk) 01:47, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Wikipedia Globe Logo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Self referential navel gazing - our logo is not notable in its own right

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Exxolon (talk) 19:48, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've added some cleanup templates to your article on the Wikipedia Globe Logo, and made some observations on the talk page. I'm not sure about the long-term survivability of this article, particularly in its current state, because the information in the article cannot be verified (see Wikipedia:Verifiability for more info) through the use of reliable, published sources that discuss the subject. This is really problematic in the articles discussion of the 'symbolism' of the logo, as this all appears to be based on personal observations (and although these may be correct, they cannot be verified through sources).

Even so, there is still a chance the article could be taken to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, and it may be deleted following a deletion discussion. (Have a read of Wikipedia:Why was my page deleted? for some more details on the hows and whys). If that happens, I hope it doesn't put you off contributing to the site, but that you instead interpret it as part of the learning experience. -- saberwyn 07:23, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of MfD tags

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Course Selection at Earl Haig Secondary School. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. ScottyBerg (talk) 22:10, 21 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Two problems - the ".com" was the less used. And your edit (which conventionally would be done with a move), loses the edit history. Tedickey (talk) 14:10, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:File-Pik_Uk_Map2.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:File-Pik_Uk_Map2.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:12, 8 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Tai Pan Tours Setra.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Tai Pan Tours Setra.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Boomerang7.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 00:30, 18 August 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 72.88.35.251 (talk) 00:30, 18 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Boomerang7.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Boomerang7.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. –xenotalk 16:51, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use images in userspace and removal of warning tags

[edit]

You removed a warning tag from this image that indicated the image was orphaned. However, the image was and remains orphaned. Please be aware that removing warning tags without fixing the underlying problem is not permissible. Continuing to do so can lead to a block of your editing privileges.

You also re-instated two non-free images to your userpage. Those images are File:MockupOfPhaseAApolloToVenusTest.jpg and File:Orbiter Shuttle Atlantis launch.jpg. You will note from their image description pages that both of these images are copyrighted. Per terms of our WP:NFCC policy, specifically item #9, you are not permitted to use such imagery outside of the main article namespace. There is no wiggle room on this. If you persist in restoring these images or placing any other non-free images in userspace, you may be blocked from further editing.

If you have questions, ask. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 14:09, 12 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Atmospheric entry. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains under way. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 03:18, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Challisrussia, I see you've taken an interest in the page, and I'd like to welcome you and invite you to come use the talkpage, just click discuss at the top of the ISS page. Your opinion is sort after and your help with editing would be most welcome also. Please come and have a chat ! -Penyulap (talk) 12:53, 1 June 2011 (UTC) I've been looking through your edits, and thinking WOW, cool ! we need space enthusiasts badly ! I also got rather emotional reading about that taser incident, that's terrible. Anyhow, most of the issues with the ISS intro were fixed up, but the header thing with the cleanup was left, and the discussion page is way too long now, mostly because of me. I'd really welcome your input on anything you feel is left out, or an issue, please feel free to remove the word 'toilet' from the intro also.. lol. I want to fix up the purpose section next, explaining briefly about solar winds and cosmic radiation, and the low earth orbit safe haven from them... that sort of thing.. Do you speak any other languages ? I see you love good music too, classic is brilliant. Finding specific statements of the russian space agencies objectives for the ISS is not so easy for me, with no russian skills at all. anyhow, before i talk too much, I'll just say, look forward to seeing you often on the ISS page. Hi ! I've been very impressed with your dedicated editing in the WikiProject Spaceflight articles. I would like to invite you to sign up.

I hope you'll consider the invite, as I have reviewed much of your work on the project's pages, and I am certain the co-operative efforts would be well served with your inclusion. Penyulap talk 09:09, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and if you like the shuttle better, as I see you do a bit of editing of those pages, I can help edit the thingy for your userpage talkbox if you like, to show a nice pic of the shuttle, or whatever you like, as the shuttle, although modern, is like so 5 minutes ago (actually I think it hasn't landed yet, but by the time I finish with GIMP it probably will be 5 minutes ago, lol), still I am one to talk, mine is the oldest human spacecraft of all, Lolz!
