SR 47

Re this edit and others: how does the map show that SR 47 uses SR 10A to get between US 41 and US 441? GIS data takes it along SR 10. --NE2 23:33, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

There are other maps that showed this going along SR 10A. I would've gone to some local or at least nearby libraries to find them today, but I got stuck waiting for technical service from iTunes over another issue. I'm still waiting. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 01:13, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
Official maps? Everything I've seen from FDOT takes it along SR 10. Given that SR 10A wasn't even built when SR 47 was designated along its current alignment, there's no logical reason it would have been moved at a later point. For example, here's a 1960 map. --NE2 02:10, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
That doesn't even have 10A, let alone the truck route that was supposedly along it. However this map shows SR 47 along 441 south of US 90. Not that I'm not oblivious to errors on Google Maps, but it still seems plausible that a hidden route would take such a convoluted journey. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 02:30, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
The GIS data very clearly shows SR 47 using SR 10. Unless you have a better official source, the Goog isn't going to cut it. --NE2 02:47, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
PS: read what I said again. The point I was making is that SR 10A wasn't around yet. Why would they move SR 47 for no reason after SR 10A was built? --NE2 02:48, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

"CR 35A Alternate"

Is it still signed as such? I remember several such signs (which are obvious errors, and should not be mentioned anyway) when I was through there some years ago, but both the Goog (photos April 2011) and FDOT's video log (photos April 2012) show it corrected to 35 Alternate. --NE2 17:37, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

The last time I was there, it was. That was sometime last year. I could go out of my way and take a drive down to Dade City to snap some pictures, but I don't think I'll be able to do it today. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 17:44, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
Whether it does or not, it's obviously an error. Sign errors are not usually mentioned. --NE2 18:35, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

National Limited

Can you post a screenshot? I don't think anyone else is seeing the effect you're seeing. Thanks, Mackensen (talk) 19:33, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

It took me a while to get this screenshot, but this is what I've got. It can't just be me seeing this, though. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 19:45, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

putting blank lines between list items

Hi Dan, please do not put blank lines between list items, as you did at Patchogue, New York. This causes accesibility problems for people using screen readers. Graham87 08:25, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

It doesn't look that much different in the editing history, but I see your point. Having said that, doesn't this look a little crowded to you? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 14:59, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

CR Old 441 has never existed in Orange County. It's CR 500A in Orange County, and becomes CR Old 441 at the county line.

Some of the CR 530 ROW is in Orange County, though IIRC signage along it is to Osceola standards. Whatever, I'll leave that one.

I am not aware of any CR 378. There may be one in Orange County's internal numbering, which never shows up on signs anymore. --NE2 07:22, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

I'll keep looking for where I saw CR 378. The Old CR 441 may be just a name for CR 500A, but I've seen maps where the name also exists on shields. I'm still looking for them. For some stupid reason, many of the libraries that had those maps have either chucked them out or sold them. The same fate seems to have struck my proof of the existence of Marion CR Old 441.
I really have to remind you of something about Florida GIS; They're not always right about everything either. For Hernando County, they claim that Sunshine Grove Road is only CR 439 between Hexam Road and CR 476. I've driven on that road and it's still CR 439 straight down to SR 50. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 13:56, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Of course. Signs are good sources too, seeing as they're posted by the highway departments. --NE2 20:56, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
