Longest reigning monarchs

[edit]

Regarding the point about Hassanal Bolkiah not being included in the sovereign section because the first 17 years of his reign were non-sovereign, how does the split between monarchs who had partially sovereign and partially non-sovereign reigns affect Sobhuza II? His entire 82 year reign is listed in the non-sovereign section, ranking him at number one. However, his country became independent in 1968, meaning that the last 14 years of his reign were of a sovereign nation. That would mean that his reign of a non-sovereign country would be about 68 years, which would bump him down to about 25th place. Should his position be moved? 98.228.137.44 (talk) 00:54, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

From my interpretation, I would just combine the non-sovereign and sovereign reigns together and label it as non-sovereign. Just write it down that non-sovereign's the default and that if it exceeds 56 years of Conrad, then it belongs on both lists. Yourlocallordandsavior (talk) 02:10, 25 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
