If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. You might be interested in Wikiproject Fungi.  Again, welcome! Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 07:11, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. Don't feel that you have to read every single policy before editing – I think the most important one for you is Be Bold! (Although like most project pages, it's become far longer than it needs to be.) Any mistakes are normally noticed quickly, and can easily be undone. By the way, I responded at Talk:Mold#Odor of mold.

Re: Sticky vandalism

[edit]

Wow, that's really weird! The article history shows Cluebot making a routine vandalism reversion in this edit, yet the vandalism was still clearly visible in the article, even after the wiki-code was removed. There shouldn't be any special lag time for bot edits.

Based on having seen a few similar things before, my guess is that this was some kind of temporary server glitch. I seem to have fixed it by purging the page, which basically just makes the central servers regenerate the article from the wikitext.

I happened to be online when you messaged me, but generally you can get quicker responses from the help desk.
