  • Why franchise ownership?
  • We wanted to create something to control our destiny, knowing that all of our hard work was for us, our children, and our employees.
  • Have other owners lent a hand?
  • Yes, another owner was gracious enough to send a lead technician to help us train new employees. We compensated the technician, but the offer and the help were monumental.
  • Paying it forward:
  • We love the Windows 4 Wishes initiative and try to incorporate it where we can.
  • Advice for aspiring franchise owners:
  • Go into it with eyes wide open. If you’re not a little afraid, intimidated, or feel nervous excitement, you’re not truly looking at this with eyes wide open.
  • Least favorite chores:
  • Laundry and dishes

Dwight’s and Sarah’s Story

Dwight Weber was working in the transportation industry and his wife Sarah had a career in the legal field when they decided they wanted to go into business for themselves. After learning about franchising opportunities through LinkedIn, Dwight and Sarah said they realized the Neighborly® code of values matched theirs. They were also impressed with the organization’s comprehensive support and established business methods. So, with a loan from their retirement accounts, they formed Window Genie® of Green Bay in 2018.

As their business grows, so does their excitement for the future. Next steps include getting their franchise to reach stabilized growth so they can hire office and operations staff, to start to take an eventual step back from being in the day to day.

We look at the other owners as part of our family. It feels like we’re part of something big and impactful.
