I contacted Christian's office on…

I contacted Christian's office on McClean Avenue in Yonkers for a vehicle insurance quote and the person on the phone ask me several questions and then told me that "I see you are with Geico and they have you listed as a high risk so we can't provide you with coverage." I called Geico and the Rep told me that the person I spoke with was incorrect my insurance rating is not high risk. I can only imagine the person I spoke with is just extremely lazy and didn't want to gather information for me to get a quote. I will stay with Geico since I have never been mistreated in such a weird manner

I have been an Allstate customer for 20 years

I have been an Allstate customer for about 20 years. A month ago, the lower half of my roof and some of my gutters were ripped off during a storm. This was my first claim, ever. I live in the Southwest and have a built-up elastomeric roof. To fix the roof properly, you have to remove the remaining membranes and coatings, and put down two layers of membrane from the bottom up, overlapping each. Allstate could not get an adjuster out to my house for over 3 weeks so I filed my claim online. I also could not find a contractor who could work on it within 3 weeks. (A lot of roofs were damaged) So I did it myself. I tracked my spending and hours and submitted all my receipts, over $3700 and 84 hours of work. They initially offered me $484. I was appalled. I asked how they could offer that to replace the roof and the gutters and the agent asked "Why did you replace the gutters." I said they were ripped off and twisted. She asked if I uploaded pictures. I said yes, there were three of the gutters. She said she didn't see them. A few minutes later she said, "let me look at page 2". She hadn't even looked at page 2! So they revised my payment to $1281. When I asked how she could justify that she said I didn't have to replace the roof. I could have just replaced the damaged shingles. She has seen the pictures. I don't have shingles. I have a built up elastomeric roof. She still insisted that I could have just fixed the bottom of the roof. I asked how to appeal and she said she would send me the information. It's been almost two weeks and still no information. Do not use Allstate. They will screw you over to save a few bucks. I am switching to a different provider.

Michael Boss represents your company so well.

Michael Boss represents your company so well. He is a keeper, so fast and responsive and does what he says he is going to do. Even stays on the line to ensure you received what you needed. He helped me with my last few transactions of adding a vehicle and I reached out about a billing question as I had wanted to pay a lump sum and even though not something he is responsible for he called me to help me through it and gave me all of the details of what to do and how to do it. He goes above and beyond and would make me want to stay with Allstate because of him,

Seems to be a pattern with Allstate denying claims!

We made the switch to Allstate in February 2024 by recommendation of family members. It has been one of the worst moves that we have ever made. Our neighborhood received a hail storm in March 2024. In our culdesac six of the eight homes received new roofs. The two that were denied were Allstate insurance companies. We filed a claim, and had one of their insurance adjusters come out and take a few photos. Claims denied us for a new roof. We went and had a home inspector of 30 plus years of experience come out and do an inspection on the roof. He was up there less than a minute and was completely confused on how/why we kept getting denied. He took some more detailed photos for us and we submitted them back to claims, and again they denied us. Claims told us that the home inspector probably wasn't a licensed inspector. They literally had no idea who this inspector was. There seems to be a pattern with Allstate and denying claims. It must be an easy job to deny a claim behind a computer desk. Maybe go out and examine the roof yourself! You're not in good hands with Allstate! We will be looking to leave ASAP! Leslie Ibarra from your claims department is very rude/cocky and has no business being in customer service.

Disgeniune

I wrote a review after they approved a claim and now they are giving me the runaround. I won't receive an item of similar value and it's taking forever for the property to be replaced. I get the impression this particular company hates having to pay up. Shameful. I won't shop at Walmart in the future just because of All State.

Wow what can I say that hasn't been…

Wow what can I say that hasn't been said already? I give allstate the 5 stars they deserve for the 6 months that they have been dishonest with me about an accident ( well fender bender) that the claims adjuster decided wasn't bad enough so he wrote it up as a rear end collision from following to close to the car in front of me, It took me almost 7 months/, numerous phone calls/ didn't clock the hrs to finally get the problem resolved, and what do I get from all the lies and people who I spoke with? A premium for 6 months of coverage that went from 700 to a deal at just under 1600 for 6 months why ? I live in calif / I have a job / I have to have insurance/ I breathe air / or just because they can do what ever they want to and you can't stop them ,so for me it's on to the next company to insure my car so I can legally drive until the next renewal comes along when nyrates will rise again , THERE IS NO END.

fraud and scan do not buy this insurance

I purchased a scooter from eBay 1 year and 2 months ago and included an additional insurance policy to extend the warranty coverage for a total of 2 years, specifically to protect against issues like the scooter ceasing to function. Recently, the scooter stopped working entirely—it won’t turn on, charge, or move. Despite having paid for insurance precisely to cover such incidents, Allstate’s response has been utterly nonexistent, leaving me in a position of extreme frustration.

After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the company finally contacted me and agreed to replace the scooter with the exact same model that is still available on eBay from the original vendor. However, shortly after, they had the audacity to send me an email offering a regular children’s scooter as a “similar option.” This is completely unacceptable and offensive, as I purchased a professional adult scooter, not a child’s toy.

This company’s behavior is nothing short of fraudulent and deceptive. They sell insurance policies they have no intention of honoring, essentially scamming customers out of their money. I demand the immediate replacement of the same scooter I originally purchased, as was explicitly agreed upon in our phone conversation. If this matter is not resolved promptly and to my satisfaction, I will have no choice but to move forward with legal action for fraud.

The exact model, size, and style of the scooter I purchased is still available from the same vendor on eBay. I will not accept any substitute equipment, nor will I accept a reimbursement. I expect this company to fulfill its legal and contractual obligations without further delay.

Ed Wizmirski agency is who you want to…

Ed Wizmirski agency is who you want to go with! My family has used Ed for our insurance needs for many years. Any insurance policy is only as good as the agent backing it up. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Ed from beginning to end. At the end of the day, you want to do business with a trust worthy and knowledgeable source and Ed is it!!!

Stay away from AllState

I have been with AllState Insurance for two years and have an impeccable driving record. I had never been in an accident before, and recently, I was the victim of a reckless driver. He tried to cut me on the highway, was riding my tail and rammed be on the side via the emergency lane. He immediately acknowledged fault, said it was a company truck and gave me all the documentation to claim repair payments from his insurance. The total of this was 3,000 CAD in damages. On informing my insurer Allstate of the case, I was flabbergasted to see that my premium had almost quadrupled from 350 to 1080 CAD. While general increases are expected in this high inflation climate, this jump is criminal. I have negotiated a lower rate but STILL even with all that excess, they are quoting me 760 now. That is more than a 100% increase. They insist that this is the best rate they can give me and I believe this is unethical and unfair.

Passed the buck

I was involved in an accident on June 18th 2024 when an allstate insured motorist pulled out in front of me. After she admitted fault, allstate played around for days before even reaching out to verify the fault. Then they said my truck was totaled without even looking at it or pictures and said I'd have to turn it into my insurance because her policy was state minimum coverage which is $25000 collision. The damage ended up at $14000. Now Geico ( my insurance) and allstate are sending me back and forth between companies and won't extend my rental car even though my truck is still in the bodyshop. I have already spent $600 for first weeks rental, then have to pay my deductible and ask allstate myself for reimbursement ,then they want me to pay for a tire that was burst in the accident ( $350) because my original tire was 70% tread. This accident has done nothing but cost me missed hours at work and cash. ALLSTATE SHOULD STEP UP AND TAKE RESPONDABILITY. IT was their claim to start with. I wouldn't recommend Allstate or Geico Either one. When talking to claims rep at Allstate, he was a sarcastic smart ellic who seemed to care less about my issue, saying if I didn't drive a 2019 f 150 their wouldn't have been a problem. ???????????????

The agent I worked with is Stephanie

The agent I worked with is Stephanie, she was very helpful and if she didn't know the answer to a question, she was eager to find the correct answer for me. I have been very pleased with Allstate in general, love the Drivewise app.

After being with allstate for over 40…

After being with allstate for over 40 years. I was denied roof replacement. I was only offered repais. After my deductible of 1,000.00 it wasn't eligible for them to repair. Allstate in my opinion is a insurance company that is very disloyal to their customers. It is obvious that because the increase in the severe storms activities our properties will be damaged. Allstate Insurance company made me regret that I am with them .
Think twice about being there customers.

AllState Roadside - Always Ride in the Hands

I had just the stand-alone AllState Roadside Assistance, without the insurance policy. I took out the membership at 3am when I was stuck, engine totally dead, in dangerous and rapidly changing situation. Feeling like the last brisket on 4th of July weekend admidst hordes of ravenous shoppers, I scrolled my phone frantically, trying to invent a friend out of my ass. I found one. I signed up on the phone, there was NO preclusion about immediate service. Before 4am, big tall headlights suddenly lit up the parking lot, and all the wolves around the edges. I rode out in the hands, flying the one finger salute. A number of other times I called for service, a LOT of service calls, but they came each time, each covered service was cheerfully provided; they had reliable arrival within 1-2 hours, at most, and never stood me up or did the "actually it will be two more hours," after-you-waited-your-hour crap. They said "by 9pm," and pulled up at 8:53. They were pros who did the job, not super (over) friendly, just qualified mechanics or towguys or whichever I was needing with professional courtesy. You never had to flirt with a guy, to make sure he towed you out. All around, the best roadside assistance company I ever had, would recommend without reservation to ANYONE. Someday, it will be you.

I’d like to start You are not in good hands with Allstate with saying this

I’d like to start with saying this, I’ve been with Allstate for over five years now, and then all of a sudden my rates almost doubled. The commercials and that comforting voice where they say, you’re in good hands with Allstate, let’s get this right, you better check yourself. You are not in good hands with Allstate. I went with another insurance company, same exact policy, same exact coverage, same exact deductible, $221 per month cheaper…
You really should get a second quote and find out for yourself. “YOU ARE NOT IN GOOD HANDS” insuring anything with Allstate.

Pay a company that treats you well.

The back glass of the sunroof on my 2022 F150 broke, and I got my estimate from Allstate. The total estimate was just under $900 to replace the glass. This estimate includes Allstates quoted 9.5 hours of labor and the part ($250). I don’t know what janky shop they want me to use, but any good shop won’t charge less than $100 per hour for labor, and the part from Ford is just over $1400. They are happy to charge $300+ a month for poor car insurance, but when they have to pay, you need an act of God to get your money. They don’t deserve my business, nor does anyone else’s who is reading this. Insurance is required, but remember, you have options for the company you choose.

Allstate Denies Claims for Profit

In June 2024, our vehicle was proceeding through a parking lot when a pickup truck backed out into the back passenger side. It happened so quickly, my husband had no time to notice - let alone react. Rather than accept full liability for their customer's negligence, Allstate opted to take 80% liability and hold us responsible for the other 20%. They had no police report - police refused to come out. Neither vehicle had a dash cam, and witnesses weren't available. Since we couldn't provide either, they decided to go the cheap route. The repairs were $6,000, and they begrudged 20% because they could. There's not enough policing of insurance company practices. We now have a dashcam since it's clear that unscrupulous companies like Allstate are more concerned with keeping their bonuses and profits than making customers 'whole' again. Google this company, check the BBB, and you will see Allstate regularly denies valid claims. The behavior continues unchecked.

Dishonest, rip-off overbilling

Terrible customer service, with dishonest, incomprehensible policies. I had two motorcycles and sold one before buying a replacement. I sent all the required forms and because Allstate does not send updated paperwork that reflects the status of your policy, I only found out more than two years later they were billing me for a bike I no longer owned. They dug in their heels and made endless excuses - refusing to rebate me the extra expense added to my policy, then when I filed a complaint they finally removed the 3rd bike from my policy, and the charged me MORE for one less bike. The agent who was a pin-head was clearly trying to fabricate a rationale for this saying, if I had fewer bikes I would spend more time riding, which is absurd, as if I could potentially be riding more than one motorcycle at a time. Dumping them and going to Geico. Allstate are crooks.

Worse insurance company out there!

Worse insurance company out there. they are literally taking people's money and destroying their lives. They should not have legal power to treat people however they feel like it. *I did contact them and I sent them more documents than needed but they are still being inconsiderate and ruthlessly trying to mess me up.* Worst experience of my life by far!

Bad Company

It was a horrible experience dealing with them on a basic level just changing the 3rd party interest. I tried the app to change it. No option. I tried the chat, and the person put in half the info. The next day I called back and the new person informed me that he could not add the 3rd party because it had a special character "@". I asked him to cancel and he slowed down the responses. After about 8-10 minutes he informed me that I couldn't cancel my renter's policy unless I had another insurance. I asked for their supervising authority and no answer. I called them on the phone and they informed me that the conversation was recorded. I also informed them that I was recording as well, and they said because I am recording, the conversation cannot proceed. I imagine how easy to deal with this company would be during a claim. These people are corrupt. I will never use Allstate or any of their companies again. Wht I will do in the future, I will use trust pilot. If I had seen their reputation, I would not have used them.
