  1. Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, a Scottsdale nonprofit with a mission to "provide social, emotional and financial support directly to families managing the health and well-being of a loved one with pediatric cancer," is hosting an annual golf tournament on Friday, Sept. 15 at 8 a.m. at Camelback Golf Club, 7847 N. Mockingbird Lane. The goal of the charity event is to raise $40,000 to "fund programs and financially help families struggling to make ends meet while their children battle cancer." 2. The suspect who evaded authorities across the East Valley and was arrested in Scottsdale on Monday has been identified as 32-year-old Johnathan Crawford. Crawford was charged with multiple offenses, "ranging from theft and reckless driving to drug possession." Crawford had five active warrants, and he claimed this is why he fled from police. 3. A Scottsdale couple who lives near Thunderbird and 94th Street found a family of five raccoons in their home, and both individuals were bitten and treated at the hospital. The husband and wife believe that the raccoons entered through their dog door, and the critters were found getting into a bag of dog food. The couple wants to warn other residents not to approach the wild animals and to cover up dog doors if they are spotted outside. (ABC15 Arizona)
