  1. The first Arizona location of Moxies opened at Scottsdale Fashion Square this past Friday. The Canadian restaurant chain has only seven locations in the U.S., though the brand includes 57 locations in total. The Scottsdale restaurant features more than 20 LED TVs, a large island bar, bar bites menus, and a variety of cocktails and wines. The location has happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as half price wine bottles on Wednesdays. You can check out the menu here. (KTAR.com)
  2. Scottsdale Water and EPCOR "shared customers" were sent letters from EPCOR to notify them about partnership changes. As authorized by the Arizona Corporation Commission this past June, EPCOR will assist the city of Scottsdale with collecting delinquent charges or bills, which includes disconnecting water services to customers who are "delinquent in wastewater bills owed to Scottsdale but not necessarily delinquent in water bills owed to EPCOR." EPCOR will also provide monthly water consumption data about its customers to the city of Scottsdale for sewer utility services billing. Residents should note that this letter from EPCOR is not a bill. (City of Scottsdale)
  3. Scottsdale is seeking board and commission members for 17 current openings. Residents who want to "volunteer their time and institute a positive change in their community" should apply by Thursday, Aug. 31. You can find more information about how these commissions and boards function at ScottsdaleAZ.gov/boards. Check out the vacancies online, then apply here. (City of Scottsdale)
