  1. Two suspects have been arrested for animal cruelty in connection to a husky puppy that was found dead in an alley with its mouth taped shut on June 27. Scottsdale Police Department located surveillance video showing suspects Heather Auditor and Lester Paul Richmond, who was the animal's registered owner, talking about "getting rid of the puppy." Surveillance video also showed Richmond's vehicle in the Scottsdale alley near Latham Street and Miller Road around the time that the puppy was left there. (Scottsdale Police Department via Facebook, ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
  2. The city's Neighborhood Enhancement Grant Program is available as an option to maintain or spruce up mature non-HOA neighborhoods. The city reserved $30,000 in funds to cover various eligible projects related to neighborhood signs, alleys, perimeter walls, and low water landscaping. Applications can be submitted in-person at the 7447 E. Indian School Road or online here for review by the Neighborhood Advisory Commission. (Fronteras: The Changing America Desk, City of Scottsdale)
  3. As an update on the Wednesday shooting and manhunt near N. 64th Street and E. McDowell Road that SPD assisted with, Phoenix Police Sgt. Phil Krynsky confirmed that all three suspects have been located. The driver of the vehicle involved was arrested on multiple felony charges. (NewsBreak)
  4. Want a unique way to check out breweries in and around Scottsdale? Consider signing up for City Brew Tours Phoenix!
