  1. As part of ongoing water conservation efforts and infrastructure planning, the Scottsdale City Council has approved a new agreement to "create a water exchange partnership between Scottsdale and the city of Tucson." With this agreement, Scottsdale will be able to exchange 5,000 acre-feet of Central Arizona Project water annually for long-term storage credits, which the city plans to redeem during shortages. The city is expected to sign the agreement by the end of this month and may start storing water as early as next month. (City of Scottsdale)
  2. Speaking of water, registration is now open for the next Water Citizen Academy! The academy "provides an inside look at all aspects of the Scottsdale Water utility, which happens to be one of the most advanced municipal water systems in the country." Participants must be able to commit to attending five consecutive Wednesday evening sessions from Sept. 13 through Oct. 11. Find more information and register here. (City of Scottsdale)
  3. Scottsdale-based Salt and Lime Modern Mexican Grill, which is located at 9397 E. Shea Blvd., will be opening a second location in Phoenix! The second location is expected to open in 2024 near Camelback Road and 44th Street. (KTAR.com)
  4. Catch, an upscale seafood eatery, will be opening at Scottsdale Fashion Square in early 2025! The menu will include "a raw bar, sushi, seafood and steak." Guests should expect "a sleek, modern aesthetic, matched with a lively atmosphere." (The Phoenix New Times)
