  1. A suspect was arrested in Scottsdale on Monday after leading police through several portions of the East Valley. Mesa Police officers attempted to pull over the suspect driving a stolen gold Mercedes ML-320, but the driver sped away. Air units then followed the suspect across Tempe and Scottsdale as he drove the wrong way on streets at times and almost hit several other vehicles, including a school bus. The suspect finally pulled into the Independence 47 Hotel on Pima Road near Indian Bend, jumped out of the vehicle, and ran inside. He was eventually arrested, and no injuries were reported. You can catch a glimpse of the unidentified suspect, who appears to be an African American male, in the video at the link. (FOX 10 News Phoenix)
  2. Registration is now open for the fall series of the Neighborhood College program! The program will kick off with a virtual Scottsdale 360 series on short-term rentals from 11 a.m. to noon on Sept. 21. Neighborhood College consists of four tracks: "HOA/Condo, Good Neighbor, Stories of Scottsdale History, and Scottsdale 360, a virtual learning series that highlights the people, policies, and programs that shape our community." Residents can register for all or one of the four tracks here. (City of Scottsdale)
  3. Save the date for Boo & Brew on The Quad at Scottsdale Quarter from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 28! Guests are encouraged to bring their families and pups, wander the pumpkin patch, and enjoy live music from a DJ followed by Rock Lobster. The free event will feature a beer garden offering local craft brews, kids crafts, character appearances, balloon twisters, face painters, a doggie costume contest, and a candy crawl for which registration will be coming soon.
