State Highway 160 in East Bay Reopens

BREAKING: Fallen trees had blocked the roadway.

EAST BAY, CA -- A stretch of State Highway 160, which was closed the night of Jan. 18 after fallen trees blocked the roadway in Antioch, has now reopened, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

Around 9 p.m. Wednesday, the CHP closed the highway at the Antioch Bridge. The closure affected Highway 160 between Wilbur Avenue and state Highway 12.

CHP officials had expected the closure to last until 9 a.m. Thursday, but crews were able to clean up debris and reopen all roads by 2 a.m. this morning.
