Join us in celebrating multitalented jazz and Bossa-nova recording artist Kaylene Peoples—an award-winning vocal sensation and flutist—on Sunday, August 25th, at her birthday extravaganza at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood! The evening will feature the legendary, Grammy-nominated bassist Bunny Brunel. Pianist phenomenon Mahesh Balasooriya will be opening. Also joining Kaylene are the talented guitarist Joe Calderon and drummer Land Richards. Hosting the evening is TV writer and comedian Kevin Foster from the hit series "MONOGAMY." A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Homeless Mission. It’s going to be an evening of extraordinary performances, fun, and a few surprises. We hope to see you there!
ABOUT:
Kaylene Peoples is an accomplished flutist and vocalist with a remarkable 5-octave range. Her career as a recording artist spans genres like jazz and Bossa Nova, with her album "My Man" &amp; "Romantic Bossa-Nova"&nbsp;earning particular praise. She has collaborated and performed with legends such as Bunny Brunel, Stanley Clarke, Larry Dunn, and Armand Sabal-Lecco, and has received several awards for her vocal performances and album productions. In addition to live performances, Kaylene is recognized for her sophisticated compositions and arrangements.
