HOLLYWOOD, CA — City crews have begun working to clear debris from over 20 storm drains in Hollywood as the rainy season approaches, according to Councilmember Nithya Raman.

Raman's office submitted requests to the LASAN Wastewater Division last month. After the rain last Wednesday, her office requested that crews begin clearing drains on Cahuenga Boulevard that had been overwhelmed by leaves, dirt and debris, she wrote in her newsletter.

"We can now expect these drains to properly remove water from our roads, allowing us to maintain safe and clear streets during the rainy season and beyond! To report a clogged storm drain or flooded street in your area, please call 311 to submit a clearing request," Raman wrote in the newsletter.
