  1. Did you see the blue vans of BeWellOC out in the city on Sunday? “In addition to responding to calls for service, (the) BeWellOC team regularly conducts proactive outreach throughout HB.” They spent time “at Pier Plaza, Central Park, Sunset Beach & Edison Community Center.” (City of HB)
  2. The Wilson Townhomes is a 24-unit development built back in 1961. They are two-bedroom apartments. The development “is located on a low-density two-acre site bordering both Newport Beach and Huntington Beach.” We learned on Monday that The Mogharebi Group (TMG) sold this development for $12.2 million, which breaks down to $508,000 per-unit pricing. Insiders attribute the steep price to “the lack of supply of affordable, single-family homes and the great demand for apartment living overall.” (Globe St)
  3. Monday’s rainfall worried officials in the Orange County burn areas. Of particular concern was “possible flooding in Orange County hillsides.” “The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for the Bond, Apple and El Dorado fire burn areas, which includes the Silverado, Modjeska and Williams canyons.” A flash-flood watch was in effect until Monday night. (Newsbreak)
  4. What happened at Pupchella? There were dog-friendly rooms. Also, there was a dog menu that looked fantastic. Best of all, we learned Sunday that the Pasea Hotel is always happy to welcome guests with their canine companions. (KTLA)
  5. Who’s making the cut in HB? Insiders checked out local Italian restaurants and narrowed down their list to five top choices on Monday. Number one is Mona Lisa Cucina at 9017 East Adams Avenue. Reviewers lauded “the power of its chef Francois Lieutaud who has a talent for just doing magic felt in his dishes.” Runners-up are Sebastiani's Italian Bistro and Baci Italian in places two and three respectively.
