If you’re on the lookout for festive holiday fun, there are plenty of options right here in the Bay Area. Visit California released a list of towns with holiday spirit across the state and three local destinations were recognized for their seasonal spark.

Windsor

Talk about walking in a winter wonderland — over 220 individually lit and decorated trees line the Windsor Town Green for the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Grove. The festive atmosphere is complete with holiday music and shopping opportunities in Old Downtown Windsor. The big kickoff event is Thursday but the festivities continue through Jan. 1. Another Sonoma County community, Petaluma gives the holidays an aquatic twist, with Santa making his arrival by riverboat on Small Business Saturday, an event followed later in the season by a lighted boat parade. This year’s nightime holiday flotilla is set for Saturday. To learn more, go to https://petalumadowntown.com/lighted-boat-parade.
