'Frightmare' Haunted House Opens Friday In Livermore

The free haunted house will open for its 9th season.

LIVERMORE, CA — What do you get when you mix a fright and a nightmare?

You get one of Livermore’s best free haunted houses.

“Frightmare” run by Livermore resident Steve Profumo at his Sonoma Avenue house, is returning for its ninth season this weekend. Head over to the house of horrors to experience skeletons, ghouls, and monsters inhabiting a creepy cemetery backyard and a dark basement.

Frightmare is open Oct. 27-28 from 7-11 pm, and Halloween from 7-10 pm at 697 Sonoma Avenue in Livermore. Anyone feeling a little jumpy can visit Sunday, Oct. 29 from 1-3 pm for a lights-on tour, which won’t feature any jump scares. All tours are recommended for ages 10 and older.

All dates are free, but donations are welcome.
