Mom's Haunted House Returns To Livermore

The family-run haunted house on Kathy Court will return for the first time since 2019.

LIVERMORE, CA — Mom is back! Livermore’s creepiest haunted house is returning for the first time since 2019, and she’s bringing along her whole family to scare the daylights out of visitors.

The house began in the late 90s on Kathy Court, when “Mom,” also known as Christie Smith, began decorating her home for Halloween. In 2004, she opened her home up to the public as a walk-through haunted house for the first time, and in 2012, it became a full-time haunt.

Smith’s whole family joined the haunting, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

By 2019, more than 500 people made a “wrong turn” into the house of horrors. The haunted house closed the following year due to the pandemic, and hasn’t been back until Friday, when it will make its long-awaited return with “Mom’s Haunted House: The Comeback.”

Four years of pent-up scariness awaits anyone who dares enter Mom’s sinister domain. The “comeback” will take place Friday, Oct. 28 from 7-11 pm at 1379 Kathy Court in Livermore.
