LIVERMORE, CA — More than 13,000 Livermore students returned to school Monday.

"We were pleased to welcome over 13,000 students back to school today for what is sure to be a great 2023-24 school year," LVJUSD Superintendent Chris Van Schaack said in a statement. "We look forward to focusing on providing students with the instruction and support they need for academic growth and showing appreciation and gratitude for all those who contribute to the success of our schools- our teachers, administrators and staff; parents; community members and organizations; and the students themselves."
