LIVERMORE, CA — School starts Aug. 23 in Livermore, and the Livermore Police Department wants to make sure all students have the supplies they need.

On Saturday, Aug. 13 and Sunday, Aug. 14, marked police cruisers will camp out at a few locations around town that the department hopes will be stuffed with school supplies. Bring backpacks, paper, binders, pens, pencils, scissors, markers, glue, staplers, calculators, erasers, folders, crayons, rulers, flash drives, notebooks, or anything you think students might need. Backpacks full of supplies will be distributed to students in need before the school year.

Cash donations are also accepted.
