What To Do For Memorial Day Weekend 2024 In Livermore

Falling on the last Monday of May each year, Memorial Day honors those who lost their lives while serving in the military. It's a federal holiday that many people get off from work, resulting in a three-day weekend.

This year, Memorial Day falls on May 27, and for many, this holiday weekend marks the unofficial start of summer. We've rounded up some things to do Memorial Day Weekend in and around Livermore. Please note: We recommend calling ahead to confirm the hours and access before you head out the door.

Bay Area Kidfest

When: Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 - 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Monday, May 27 - 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Where: Mt. Diablo High School, 2450 Grant St., Concord, CA 94520
What: The 33rd Bay Area KidFest, happening on Memorial Day weekend, offers unlimited access to live family entertainment, traveling attractions, arts and sports activities for children. The event features food courts, nearly 20 kid-friendly rides, arts and crafts vendors and various attractions for an additional charge.

Art And Wind Festival

When: Sunday, May 26 and Monday, May 27 - 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Where: Central Park, 12501 Alcosta Blvd., San Ramon, CA 94583
What: Enjoy some family-friendly fun at the annual Art and Wind Festival held in San Ramon. This festival features crafts, specialty food vendors, children's shows, family amusement zones, kite-flying demonstrations and free kite-making workshops. It's pet-, bike- and family-friendly.

White Party At Wente Vineyards

When: Sunday, May 26 - 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Where: Wente Vineyards, 5050 Arroyo Rd., Livermore, CA 94550
What: Get ready for an unforgettable summer kickoff at the Wente Vineyards White Party! Dress in your finest white attire and enjoy a day filled with music, dancing, food trucks, signature wines, beer and cocktails. This event is exclusively for those 21 and over.

Memorial Day Remembrance

When: Monday, May 27 - 11:00 a.m.
Where: Stockman’s Park, 29 S Livermore Ave., Livermore, CA 94550
What: Honor and remember the fallen heroes at the Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the City of Livermore. Pay tribute to those who have served with a solemn ceremony featuring speeches, music and a moment of reflection.
