ACROSS CALIFORNIA — Strong winds continued to push a massive brush fire north of Los Angeles Monday, with the fire already increasing in size overnight by about 1,000 acres to 15,610 acres with 8% containment.

The Post Fire marks the first major wildfire in the Southland so far this year, as it grew to nearly 23 square miles and forced the evacuation of at least 1,200 campers, off-roaders and hikers from the Hungry Valley recreation area.

Meanwhile, the Point Fire has been threatening vineyards over by Healdsburg, and residents are told to be prepared for the potential dangers ahead.
