Public Help Sought In Search For Missing L.A. Man

Authorities are seeking public help in finding a schizophrenic man with ties to Los Angeles who went missing a year and a half ago.

LOS ANGELES -- Authorities are again seeking public help to find a schizophrenic man with ties to the Los Angeles area who went missing a year and a half ago.

Richard Llamas, 69, was last seen at George Washington University Hospital in Washington D.C., where he was treated on March 26, 2018, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Llamas is described as white, 5-feet-10 inches tall, weighing 160-180 pounds, and has brown/gray hair, brown eyes and wears eyeglasses. He went missing from the Los Angeles area and has ties to the area, the sheriff's department reported.

``He suffers from schizophrenia and seizures, and family members are concerned for his well-being,'' a sheriff's statement said.

Anyone knowing Llamas's whereabouts was urged to call the sheriff's department at (323) 890-5500. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
