Voting Begins For Special Primary Election Assembly District 62

MARINA DEL REY, CA — Westside vote centers are open for the April 5 Special Primary Election for Assembly District 62.

Four Democrats are vying to represent California's 62nd Assembly District:

• Tina McKinnor (D)
• Robert Pullen-Miles (D)
• Angie Reyes English (D)
• Nico Ruderman (D)

The race will determine who replaces Assemblywoman Autumn Burke, who resigned in February.

"I feel it is of the utmost importance that I have the flexibility and ability to spend more time with my family," Burke said.

In the letter to her 62nd Assembly District constituents announcing her resignation, Burke wrote that the COVID-19 pandemic "has affected the lives and consciousness of everyone and I am no exception."

Burke has now moved into a private-sector position with Axiom Advisors, a government relations and public affairs consulting group.

The primary election will be on April 5. The general election will follow on June 7.
