4-Year-Old And Adult Killed In Crash Near Palm Springs

PALM SPRINGS, CA — A 4-year-old and a 28-year-old killed in a crash in the Whitewater area near Palm Springs were identified by authorities Monday.
The fatal crash was reported at 7:37 p.m. Sunday on the transition between Highway 62 and westbound 1-10, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The child, Mason Lucas, and Gregory Lucas-Martinez, both of Cathedral City, were pronounced dead at the scene. A woman and two children were taken to a trauma center with moderate injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
