Pedestrian Killed In Palm Springs Crash

PALM SPRINGS, CA — A man was killed Sunday evening when he was struck by a vehicle in a Palm Springs.

The crash occurred at 6:52 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block South Palm Canyon Drive, at or near the intersection where Palm Canyon Drive merges with Indian Canyon Drive and crosses East Camino Parocela, Palm Springs police Sgt. M. Delaney told City News Service.

There was no further description of the victim, whose name will be withheld pending family notification.

The driver remained at the scene, Delaney said.

An investigation was underway to determine whether alcohol was involved, he said.

Palm Canyon Drive was closed between Camino Parocela and Sunny Dunes Road, he said.
