Lovebird is Your Rancho Coastal Humane Society Pet This Week

A cat named after a bird.

Lovebird is a 2-year-old, 7-pound, female, Domestic Short Hair cat with a Torbie (Tortoiseshell / Tabby) coat

Lovebird was a stray who was taken to a shelter. When nobody claimed her, she was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS.)

She was very shy, and she spent her time hiding in her enclosure. Little by little, she gained confidence and began to venture out to meet the animal care attendants and volunteers.

Before you pet Lovebird, she needs to sniff you, first. Once she feels comfortable, Lovebird will investigate. Don’t try to rush this. Everything needs to move at her pace.

The $100 adoption fee for Lovebird includes medical exam, spay, up to date vaccinations, and registered microchip
