SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Two 16-year-old swimmers who were being pulled out to sea from Kelly's Cove off San Francisco's Ocean Beach were rescued Sunday afternoon, the fire department said.

A rescue swimmer was from the Golden Gate National Recreation Area rescued the two teenagers, who were in distress in turbulent waters for at least 20 minutes, according to authorities.

The pair were reunited with their parents and have been taken to the hospital for issues described as not life-threatening, according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
