SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As the weekend wraps, we've rounded up some of the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

The big news across the world Sunday was Joe Biden dropping out of the presidential race, and endorsing Oakland native and current Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor. Harris thanked Biden for his “extraordinary leadership,” and said that “my intention is to earn and win this nomination.”

A number of Bay Area leaders thanked Biden for his service, and his decision not to run again, including Nancy Pelosi, London Breed, Barbara Lee, and Scott Wiener.

Another NorCal resident got some life-changing news this weekend when they found out they won the $54 million SuperLotto Plus jackpot at a convenience store in Woodland, about 15 miles northwest of Sacramento.
