SAN FRANCISCO — One lucky ticket purchased in San Francisco is worth more than $1.3 million after Saturday's Powerball drawing, matching five numbers but missing the Powerball, according to lottery officials. No one across the country matched all six numbers, so now lottery players in California have another chance at winning big— with Monday night’s estimated Powerball jackpot growing to $1.55 billion.

The winning numbers Saturday were 47, 54, 57, 60 and 65, with a Powerball of 19.

The ticket sold at Town & Country Market on Post Street was California's only to hit for the second-tier prize valued at $1,311,695. Ten other Golden State winners matched four numbers and the Powerball for the third-tier prize, earning more than $33,000 each.

In addition to San Francisco's $1.3 million ticket, more than 4.5 million tickets worth from $2 to $2 million were sold nationwide for Saturday’s drawing. Ten tickets that matched all five white balls and worth $1 million were sold in Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts (two), Michigan, Ohio, Texas (two) and Wisconsin.

Two players — one in Iowa and the other in Maine — matched all five white balls, but also played the multiplier and were worth $2 million.

Other big wins include 85 tickets that won $50,000 prizes, and 27 tickets that won $150,000 prizes.

Monday’s drawing will be the 35th drawing in the jackpot run, and the first time in Powerball history that back-to-back jackpot cycles have generated billion-dollar grand prizes. The Powerball jackpot was previously won July 19, when a ticket in California won a jackpot worth $1.08 billion.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of all proceeds from the sale of a Powerball ticket remain in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold. Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. EST from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee.

The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
