77 Low-Income Apartments Open On Temecula's West Side

To qualify to live at Las Haciendas, residents must earn no more than 30% to 60% of the area median income.

TEMECULA, CA — This week, the city of Temecula is celebrating the opening of an affordable housing apartment complex on the west side of Interstate 15, near the DMV.

On Tuesday, city officials will gather at Las Haciendas Apartments, 28715 Las Haciendas Street, to launch the opening of the complex's 77 apartments.

The pet-friendly, three-story complex offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments with patios or balconies. Apartment sizes range from about 671 to 1,180 square feet.

The complex also features a playground, barbeques, computer lab, laundry room and community room with kitchen.

To qualify to live at Las Haciendas, residents must earn no more than 30% to 60% of the area median income. The complex is fully leased and a waitlist has already closed.

San Diego-based nonprofit affordable housing developer Community HousingWorks is the organization behind Las Haciendas. The complex is CHW’s first community in Temecula, and first in Riverside County. CHW officials will attend Tuesday's celebration.

Founded in 1988, CHW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that develops, rehabilitates, preserves and operates affordable apartment communities throughout California and in Texas.
