Tom Cindel, Moreno Valley Group Director of Operations & Logistics for ALDI, shared his thoughts on the newest opening of the South Temecula store.

"Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster, and easier," Cindel said. "ALDI is positioned to help keep costs as low as possible because of our disciplined approach to operating with simplicity and efficiency. We're committed to offering our shoppers the products they know and love at the lowest possible prices, period! We have served the Temecula community for more than seven years and are excited to continue offering residents an affordable way of shopping."

To that end, the store is stocking shelves with aisle after aisle of products residents who visit the Rancho California Road store already love. Residents were sent a $5 coupon with tips and tricks for when you go. The most important is to bring a quarter to rent a shopping cart.ALDI has everything from fresh produce to everyday essentials and even some home interiors, according to the site.

According to the store's website, customers can check out a shopping cart for a 25-cent deposit.

"Ultimately, it saves our customers money because we don't have to hire extra staff to collect grocery carts," they said. "To unlock a cart, customers have to insert a quarter, and this deposit ensures shoppers return their cart to the corral to get their quarter back."

Swing by on Thursday for the ribbon cutting, and don't forget ALDI shopping cart quarter!
