Death Near Temecula's Paloma Del Sol Park Was Apparent Suicide: RSO

TEMECULA, CA — A death reported Thursday in the area of Paloma Del Sol Park in Temecula is being investigated as a suicide, according to the sheriff's office.

At 8:01 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Corte Cardin and Corte Almeria "regarding a suicide," according to Riverside Sheriff's Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez.

The area where the deceased was found is a public space, Brito-Gonzalez confirmed.

According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, its crews were also dispatched to the scene but the sheriff's office canceled the call for assistance.

Further information about the victim and the circumstances of the call for service were not released.
